Wedding day for the Ba family in Nioro du Rip. My oldest host sister, Robiyetta Ba, was married while I lived at their house. She is 26 years old and she will keep her last name throughout her life. Families came from throughout the country to share in the festivities and to help cook. The father of the bride is expected to hand out money to the well-wishers.
