Odi Village, June 1995: The weavers create the designs for their craft from their life in the village. None of the artisans have formal training in drawing or in art. They weave their scenes completely from memory without the use of sketches. They are, nonetheless, able to use the various colored yarns just as a painter might take a brush to canvas to capture a landscape. Thus, their stories are retold through imagination with wool.
