One of the more ancient cities in Uzbekistan, Khiva is a living museum. The old town is filled with mosques, madrasses and, of course, a bazaar. The city has so much atmosphere that it was used in the film "Orlando" to illustrate the Turkish empire. Photo by Becca Bassingthwaighte.
