Well on outer atoll island. During the drought it stopped raining for 6 months, and so the islanders had to rely on wells for fresh water. Well water was a little salty due to the low fresh water lens on atolls. Normally, rain water running off the roofs of homes would be used for fresh water needs, but since no rain, no rainwater!
